Archaeology is the newest wow profession released with the Cataclysm expansion. It is really a secondary skill that everyone can train along with First Aid, world of warcraft gold, Cooking, and Fishing. Following is some basic things about how to level it to 525 as soon as possible.

First off you’ll need to train Archaeology. After you have trained you’ll see dig sites on your map. Go to a dig site, anyone is fine, it doesn’t matter. Once you are there you’ll need to use your Survey skill to survey. A little tool will show up on your screen and it will do two things. First off it will point you in the direction you need to go to find a Fragment. It will also display a color that indicates how close you are to the Fragment. It will be red for far away, yellow for getting close, and green for really close. Once you find a Fragment loot it and keep doing this same process over and over going to all the different digsites that spawn. Don’t solve anything until you reach an Archeology skill level of 100, this is the best and most efficient way to level.

If you are impatient you can start solving them at 75 because after 75 your skill will progress very slowly by only collecting Fragments. As you can see by the instructions above, Archaeology is one of the easiest professions to level up and make wow gold. I’d say that the only one easier to level is Fishing because for Fishing you can stay in one place and level the whole time and with Archaeology you need to travel a lot to various zones to get your skill up.
